STENSON SHOOTS 69 AS MAJESTICKS END THE SEASON IN 11TH PLACE
Captain Henrik Stenson shot the lowest card for Majesticks GC on the final day of their 2023 LIV Golf season as they finished in 11th position following Sunday’s strokeplay round in the LIV Golf Team Championship in Miami.
Having lost their quarterfinal match to Fireballs on Friday, the Majesticks were in Tier 3 and playing for positions nine to 12. They tallied four-over 292 with Stenson leading the way with a three-under 69. Ian Poulter, with two birdies and two bogeys, was on even-par 72, while Lee Westwood finished with four bogeys and three birdies in his last seven holes and signed for a two-over 74.
Sam Horsfield, who missed four-and-half-months of competitive golf as he recuperated from a hip surgery, faltered near the finishing line, making a triple bogey seven on the par-4 seventh hole and three bogeys in his last seven holes. He closed with 5-over 77.
